We want to give a huge, warm welcome to Brooke Johnson of USU who came to us from the dazzling city of Las Vegas. She will be helping teach classes. We feel very fortunate to have her here with us!
About Brooke:
I started dancing when I was about five years old. I began with tap, ballet, and jazz and then found out about Irish dance when I was eight and decided to give it a shot--I fell in love with it right away! After two years of Irish dancing I began competing. I moved through the levels fairly quickly and after a few years and a couple of school changes, I found myself in Open Championship. I competed in the Western Region Oireachtas three times, taking 11th in 2010, and four times in the North American Irish Dance Championships, taking 31st in 2011. I credit all of my accomplishments to my amazing teachers throughout the years and hope that I can return the dedication and hard work they have shown me, to the dancers at An Tus Nua! I'm so excited for this opportunity!
